History

  • Çeliktrans Deniz İnşaat Ltd. Şti. was established in 1958, on the European side of Bosporus as a ship building yard, with slipways.
    In those days, existences of slipways in Turkish private shipyards were not common. So, our shipyard was the industry leader among the private shipyards.
    Since its establishment, our shipyard has successfully built and delivered 63 different type of ships and tug boats as new buildings and, repaired and serviced numerous ships, supplying them different services such as major overhauls, main propulsion repairs, main propulsion system re-engining, steel plate replacements, electric system repairs and overhauls etc..
    Çeliktrans' shipyard facility moved from its location on the Bosporus to the new site at TUZLA in 1984, because of the government policy to re-locate all shipyards into an industrial zone, with proper infrastructure.
    In 1992 Çeliktrans Deniz İnşaat Ltd., was taken over by her present shareholders and, since then the shipyard gone through of an extensive modernization and investment activities.
    During the recent years, our shipyard has started to build new ships to the ship-owners in abroad.
    Among the ships delivered in past two decade; there were two multi-purpose trawlers (2000/2001), one 5200 dwt ice class container ship (2001), one 2800 dwt IMO II type, ice class chemical tanker (2004) to the Netherlands.
    During the same time period, three mooring boats, one pilot boat were delivered to the Turkish ship-owners.
    Between 2006-2011 5 pcs of 1800 PAX ferries delivered to IDO, (Istanbul metropolitan municipality transportation company in Turkey) and 2 pcs Product tanker delivered to Arkas Shipping successfully
    During 2011 Celiktrans decided to became professional for the fishing vessel due to the new rules coming up in Norway and successfully delivered below fishing vessels to northern countries.
  • MALENE S Fishing Vessel (Purse Seine Trawler) for Norway delivered December 2012.
  • SIGURDUR Fishing Vessel (Purse Seine Trawler) for Islandic Company delivered in December 2013
  • VENUS NS-150 Fishing Vessel (Purse Seine Trawler) for Islandic Company delivered in May 2015
  • ENGEY RE-91 Fishing Vessel (FRESH FISH TRAWLER) for Islandic Company delivered in January 2017
    AKUREY AK-10 Fishing Vessel (FRESH FISH TRAWLER) for Islandic Company delivered June 2017
    VIDEY RE-50 Fishing Vessel (FRESH FISH TRAWLER) for Islandic Company delivered December 2017

Between 2017-2021 two passenger vessels, one oil recovery ship, two ice class tug boats were delivered.

  • BRIZO Oil Recovery Ship, TUG (Oil Recovery Ship, TUG, Fifi E) for Arsvom Romania delivered in 2021
  • BECHET TUG Boat (Multipurpose Ice Class TUG) for AFDJ Romania delivered in 2021
  • BICAZ TUG Boat (Multipurpose Ice Class TUG) for AFDJ Romania delivered in 2021

In 2022 One Bunker was delivered to Turkish owner for domestic usage.
